PSAI Better Health Program

A historical step has been initiated by the management of PSAI towards provision of Medical Care at affordable prices. Health management is as compulsory as bread and butter but now it has become a luxurious affair because of cost to afford for a common family. PSAI management was feeling a dire need but it was very difficult to make it possible in past. Now Al-Hamdulillah Allah has blessed PSAI management and some member schools to join hand and make it possible.
All kinds of arrangements are made with a very professional and dedicated team of medical professionals who have missionary zeal. They took it as a mission to help the staff and management of private educational institutions through provision of medical services at affordable prices.

It has been decided by the management of PSAI to establish its own hospital in near future where all kind of preliminary medical treatment and surgeries will be available for the staff of private schools and their families at economical and affordable rates.

A medical lab is established under this program which covers all kinds, of medical tests like LFT, RFT, CRP, CP, ESR, Lipid Profile, Urine R/E, , Hepatitis B & C, Blood Group, Calcium, Vitamin D, Uric Acid, HIV-ICT, Typhoid. Tests which are not possible at PSAI own medical lab that these tests will be performed by the medical labs having MOU with PSAI. That labs have agreed to give special rates under the MOU. Charges of all kinds of tests are very much subsidized and affordable keeping in view the objective of program.

Collection of sample for tests will be made from doorsteps as PSAI Medical Wing has arranged the services of expert for this purpose at school or at home only in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

PSAI Medical Wing under an MOU with ATHC will provide services of all kind of clinics mentioned below under one roof.

Medical experts like Medical Doctor, Homeo Physician, Hakim will be available on specific days of the week. Schedule will be available on website as well as information about schedule can be taken on phone. Very soon services of Chinese experts will also be available in the crew who will facilitate the patient by provision of Chinese treatment. Services of these Chinese experts will be availed through use of modern IT facilities from China. Experts will also pay frequent visits to Pakistan for physical examination and surgeries of the patients.

Following kinds, of facilities will be available on call 24/7.

Medical Specialist in all fields of medicine and surgery will be available under this program. PSAI has signed MOU with different hospitals and specialists for this purpose. The hospitals and specialists will give special care to our esteemed members and also charge special rates as decided in MOU.

Surgery will also be performed in different hospitals under the MOU with hospitals and specialists.

PSAI has signed an agreement with Tele-Health Clinic under which it is decided that all the member schools will allocate space not more than 10×10 sit for Tele-health Center where some of the required apparatus required for checking Temperature, Blood Pressure, Sugar, Weight, Height etc. will be made available along with stretcher and First Aid Kit which is already mandatory for all the schools. Doctors will be available on call for preliminary treatment through this center. Training will also be provided to the science teachers and school laboratory staff to handle First Aid activities and develop coordination with the Tele-Health Center.

First Aid Training is compulsory for all kind of staff at schools and colleges. Even it is compulsory for all the students of grade 6 onward to handle in case of emergency situations. All kinds of arrangements will be made for FAT-First Aid Training of staff and students of schools for this purpose.

Annual Medical examination has become a compulsion for all the people but due to ignorance and low economic position, it is not possible even for upper middle class to have their medical checkup on annual basis. PSAI Medical Wing has planned for making it possible for the staff of all the private educational institutions to have their annual medical checkup at very nominal price.

All kinds of medicines will be available on line through Online Mobile Application at subsidized rates.

Collection of unexpired extra medicines at home will be collected from members in order to provide them to needy patients who have requirement of those collected medicine.

Terms and Conditions:

Following terms and conditions will be applied for the treatment of families and staff working at PSAI registered educations institutions:

All the facilities will be provided to the students and staff of private education institutions registered with PSAI.
Membership card will be issued by PSAI to the students and staff of private educational institutions which they will show at the time of availing the facility.
All the facilities will be provided at much discounted rates just in order to meet the recurring cost.
A special fund will be established for the poor staff members in which contribution like zakat, sadaqat and donation will also be made available. This fund will be used only for poor, deserving and needy staff members working at private schools like security staff, office boys, peons and maids etc. This fund will not be used for treatment of members in general.

Schools are advised to appoint male or female nursing staff for coordination or they can get their science teachers trained by the PSAI Training Wing in order to develop school liaison with PSAI Medical Wing. That nursing staff may be regular part of schools as their science lab in-charge or admin staff or may be a teaching staff if he/she qualifies for teaching.
All the schools are advised to get these brochures and distribute it among their staff.
Schools are also advised to invite the team of PSAI Medical wing for briefing at their schools.
Schools are also advised to start making arrangements for tele-health unit at their school and nominate their staff for training purpose.
Large schools offering health services to their staff are also requested to hold a meeting with the PSAI Medical Wing for exchange of views and availing the facilities under PSAI Medical wing.

PSAI Medical Card Destribution

Medical team of Private School Association Islamabad (PSAI) has started distribution of medical cards to principals and staff of schools. Through this medical card, members can avail themselves and their families of treatment in hospitals, medical tests from reputed laboratories and medicines at discounts from pharmacies. PSAI will issue medical card to all members very soon. All PSAI members avail this medical facility and get discounts.
